Q Notes, Day 105

The last day of the 15th week since I decided to quarantine, and everything still looks okay health-wise. In this community, wearing masks in businesses is mandatory for everyone, staff and customers, starting Tuesday. This should have been a requirement since March, and if it had been, things would probably be less fucked up than they are. Subservience to Donny Dhump isn't a priority at the local level, which is comforting.

Someone should explain to the airheads hosting shows on Fox News that a majority of Americans are not nearly as fucked up as the typical viewer of their shows.

Nobody can say that John Bolton didn't warn us about the risk of letting the Dhumpster serve a second term.

Holy shit, even fucking Mississippi is getting with the goddamn program.

When there's as much riding on an upcoming election as there is on the one this November, there's no room for thinking stuff like "We've got this one in the bag."  That's my only concern about the current national polls: over-confidence leading to apathy.

I'm living through what is probably the worst U.S. domestic crisis in my lifetime so far, and this is the first time I can remember any crisis, least of all one of this magnitude, in which the president is not doing anything at all to lead the nation through it. That's because we don't have a president; we have a mediocre TV performer who's being propped up by gullible idiots, and has no clue about how to do anything.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
