Q NOTES 296: The Election That Never Ends

This is the day Senate runoff elections will be held in Georgia. Hey, Democrats! Win two Senate seats and watch Moscow Mitch fall to the floor, moaning and weeping bitter tears.

Tomorrow is the day Congress carries out the ceremonial ritual of confirming the results of the election. More than likely, the determination of Cheez Doodle loyalists to obstruct the process will mean this traditional dog-and-pony show could stretch into Thursday or Friday. Which is another huge waste of our time by worthless (R) gutter trash, because there's no goddamned evidence of election fraud. If there was any, why wasn't it presented during the five dozen lawsuits filed by the fat fuck's elite team of legal geniuses?

It was reported yesterday that Cheez Doodle would be heading for his golf course in Scotland on January 19th, the day before Joe and Kamala are inaugurated. Those plans are apparently scotched due to the COVID shutdown. Looks like this ain't gonna be Cheezy's month after all. Someone get the straitjacket ready.

A handful of (R)s in the House seem to realize that without the Electoral College, their party can probably forget ever electing another president

Speaking of Cheez Doodle's legal team, another one bites the dust. Here's the deal: The really good attorneys, the A Team, won't dirty their hands with his corrupt activities. The ones who will work for him are already corrupt themselves (e.g, Rudy Pootie), or so incompetent they'll take any offer that comes along.

Q NOTES 271: Countdown, Day 41

I don't want to hear a word about Hunter Biden until Ivanka, Jared and Donald Jr have been indicted, arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned.

The heat that New York is bringing should have Cheez Doodle boiling over within the next few days. And as if that isn't bad enough, TIME will have Joe & Kamala on its People of the Year cover, a distinction that should have been his alone.

I really like the idea presented in a discussion I read at Democratic Underground: House leadership should refuse to seat any Republican members who were elected in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin; then hopped aboard the Paxton/Texas lawsuit train. Probably won't happen, but should.

SCOTUS will apparently keep me in suspense indefinitely. Considering the event that's scheduled for Monday 12/14, I imagined Paxton/Texas would be wrapped up one way or another this afternoon. Poor Cheezy. He thought plugging Gorsucks, Boof, and the Handmaid into vacancies he was lucky to have meant he owned the Court, kind of like owning a casino where he can play for free any time. If he doesn't see a 6-3 decision in his favor, he gonna be pissed.

Update 5:42 PM: Cable news channels report SCOTUS has refused Texas vs America on basis of standing. Now we wait to see if Kenny Paxton gets his pardon or not.

Q NOTES 264: Countdown. 48 days remaining

Ohio Rep. Jim (Gym) Jordan is a totally worthless asshole. He's so fucked up he seems to actually believe that elections should be investigated because 50,000,000 assholes who are as worthless and fucked up as he is are convinced the Cheez Doodle is telling them the truth. What Cheezy's faithful followers believe is meaningless when it comes to important stuff.

Actually, Gym is probably playing along with the conspiracy theory horseshit because he expects there's a few bucks in it for him somehow.

Meanwhile, there's good news from Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin (more losses for the Cheez Doodle).

Q NOTES, DAY 248: The Long Goodbye

Things that won't put a lump in my throat or bring tears to my eyes? Top of the list would be Cheezy voters who refused to wear masks and whose last words are "This can't be happening. The president said it's a hoax."

The transition still hasn't officially begun, and Cheez Doodle reminds me of a scavenger who stuffs himself, then shits on whatever's left so nobody else will want it.

The Georgia Secretary of State points out that 24,000 people who voted in the GOP primary failed to vote in the general election, presumably because Cheez Doodle made mail-in voting such a scary choice for them. If that's so, then we can say Cheezy probably would've won Georgia if he'd kept his fucking mouth shut.

Here's some good news: The FBI is investigating Texas AG Ken Paxton, one of the worst (R) scumbags in Texas government (along with Greg Abbott, Danny (Goeb) Patrick, Rafael (Ted) Cruz, Cornhole, and Louie Gohmert, among others).

In my opinion, it wouldn't matter what silly, asinine bullshit Cheez Doodle was spreading if there weren't several million ignorant assholes who willingly believed every word of it. And that's why I despise them as much as I despise him.

Cheez Doodle's people aren't even trying to be coy about their conspiracy to create so many problems for Joe that he'll never solve them all. Ostensibly, this is the first step in Cheezy's campaign strategy for 2024, which is a bit inconsistent with his "I WON THE ELECTION" message that gets blasted out every day. Anyway, they're probably underestimating the ability of competent Democrats to clean up the shit piles that incompetent Republicans always produce when they're in the majority. We've been doing it at least since Bill Clinton won in 1992.

Q NOTES, DAY 242: Money Talks, Bullshit Walks

USA Today has a good op-ed that explains the latest con job Cheez Whiz is pulling. Give him one thing, he definitely never passes up an opportunity to fleece gullible idiots.

What goes around etc. Remember all that bragging Cheezy did in 2017-18 about his massive landslide win in the Electoral College? Joe & Kamala are right on the edge of getting an even more massive landslide if the situation in Georgia doesn't change.

Maybe Fox News can destroy Cheezy before Cheezy destroys Fox News. Actually, I win if either of them gets destroyed, so I couldn't care less about this cat fight.

DAILY KOS @ those misleading exit polls

Not rushing to any premature judgment, but if the information that's already surfacing is any indication, I suspect that by the time the 2024 election gets underway, Cheez Whiz will be much less viable as a candidate than he is now. My prediction is that most of the media coverage he receives in the next 2-3 years will be negative, and will focus on stuff that was kept buried while he was carrying his get-out-of-jail-free card (courtesy of a stupid DOJ policy) as a sitting so-called precedent (sic).

Update 12:09 AM Friday: DAILY KOS @ why Cheezy running in 2024 is a bluff.

Update 12:33 AM Friday: Holy shit, former football coach Tommy Tuberville, the newest asshole from Alabama in the U.S. Senate, may set a new record for total stupidity. He's a goddamned embarrassment to American civilization.

My official position is that people who voted for Cheez Whiz in 2016, then voted for him again this year, are unreachable and irredeemably worthless. Their votes are votes the (D) Party cannot win, so they'll need to be swamped by a blue wave every four years. It can be done, as we've seen this week.

Q NOTES, DAY 241: Count Less

Reliable Juanita Jean has an excellent summary of why we're being forced to witness this repulsive display of spoiled brat behavior, and it all comes down to Cheez Whiz doing the one thing he's been doing constantly for most of his life: separating morons from their moolah. None of this is about overturning the election in court; it's about funding a new PAC that he hopes will position him to dominate the (R) party for years to come.

It should be interesting to find out how much money Cheezy can dupe his followers into sending him for his bogus legal challenges, since it might be a measure of his political strength once he's out of the White House and isn't the focus of media attention 24/7. As I recall, we were supposed to be in the middle of a civil war right now. It's been a week since the election, and nearly four whole days since Joe was designated president-elect. The media warned us that violence would ensue if Cheezy wasn't named the winner by midnight on election day. I'm already seeing speculation that after Cheez Whiz Live goes off the air in January, his fans may drift away in search of other entertainment.

The Associated Press (AP) is among the most worthless of the traditional news media sources; I cancelled a newspaper subscription rather than read their version of national news. Today, the AP reported that Cheez Whiz has made a massive effort to prove election fraud. No, he hasn't. He hasn't tried to prove anything; he had lawyers take his allegations before courts where judges are supposed to accept them as true because he says so.

Best summary of the day comes from Ernest T Bass at Daily Kos. Recommended reading.

Q NOTES, DAY 236: Creeping Counting Continuation

Within fifteen minutes of rolling out of bed, I had my laptop booted up and was checking my most trusted online sources for news about what, if anything, had happened overnight. When I went to sleep last night, Joe was still behind in PA and GA, but was systematically narrowing the margin with mail-in ballots from blue areas in both states.

The good news was that Joe had pulled ahead in both states, and based on demographics, was expected to increase his lead in both states. More good news: Joe was still leading in both Arizona and Nevada, and could probably manage at least a 50/50 split in the remaining uncounted ballots.

So, things look more favorable now, but none of those four states will apparently be called until the number of uncounted votes is smaller than Joe's lead.

Positive signs: Cheez Whiz is apparently making noise about refusing to concede defeat, and boycotting Joe's inauguration. Those are not the words of someone who expects a win.

Among many reasons I don't watch cable news channels in the daytime is the glut of chatter like this: It's said that some of the TV talking heads are already speculating that Cheez Whiz will be the (R) nominee in 2024. It's unclear how he'll be more acceptable to most voters at age 78 than he is at 74.

Update 6:32 PM: Still waiting for someone to declare a victory in one of the four states in which Joe is ahead. Meanwhile, the (R) people are urging Cheez Whiz to make a more compelling legal case to the courts. Stopping the counting of votes now would give Joe big wins in AZ, GA, NV and PA. The only argument Cheezy can make is that any vote for Joe is an illegal, fraudulent vote, because that's what he believes.

Q NOTES, DAY 235: The Creeping Counting

The online buzz is that Joe has increased his lead in Nevada, and is on the verge of winning Pennsylvania. Possible that both will be called for him before midnight. My goal since November 2016 has been for the 2020 Democratic nominee to win every state Hillary carried, and flip MI, PA, and WI back to blue. I made that decision after I did a little arithmetic: In each of those three states, Jill Stein's vote total was larger than the margin Cheezy won by.

In Michigan, Cheezy's margin was 10,704 and Stein received 51,463 votes. In Pennsylvania, Cheezy won by 44, 292 and Stein got 49,941. And in Wisconsin, Cheezy won by 22,748 and Stein won 31,072. This proved to my satisfaction that there were plenty of votes in those states if they went to the Democratic candidate instead of the Green Party.

Bottom line: I'll be happy if Joe picks up Pennsylvania and Nevada, and thrilled if he can add either Arizona or Georgia.

Update 6:56 PM Thursday: The old expression is "The watched pot never boils." That's true, since I've been on the Internet off and on all damned day, expecting to see at least one of the four states called for Joe. Instead, it seems like this particular kettle is on extremely low heat. At this point, Joe is still behind in PA, but Cheezy had a large lead to overcome.

Final thought for this day: It seems ironic to me that mail-in voting was the focus of all types of sabotage by Cheezy, but it will probably be what ends his political career.

Q NOTES, DAY 231

This Scott Atlas bozo is no expert on anything, but he's a worthless dootchbag (sic) and that makes him perfectly suited for a position in Cheez Whiz's traveling flea circus.

The list of people deserving immediate incarceration is growing, since Cheezy has made open domestic terrorism acceptable.

Ideally, thousands of (R) voters wouldn't vote in person on Tuesday because the pandemic is surging in swing states.

Someone should sit him down and explain to Cheezy that his declaration Tuesday night that he won the election will just be more of his meaningless noise.

Update: Cheezy loves media attention, thrives on chaos, and his favorite tactic is attempting to totally demoralize anyone who opposes him. Today's news (deliberately leaked by staffers, apparently) that Cheezy will declare victory Tuesday night has created chaos, demoralized plenty of Democrats, and dominated discussion on the Internet. I've been watching him do this kind of crap for four years, but somehow it always works for him. As long as he gets a lollipop, he ain't ever gonna stop throwing tantrums.

While we're on the topic of post-election violence, my hope is that any armed terrorists who come out of their basements to start a civil war (after Cheezy loses) will be greeted with sustained machine gun fire.

Q NOTES: DAY 230

Sean Connery resigned from life at age 90. That's pretty old, but it still makes me sad that people who made my life enjoyable (like Sean Connery did in many of his movies) are leaving this world, while the rotten motherfuckers who mess up my life seem to live forever.

Several articles today about the road to 270 (votes in the EC). To summarize, Pennsylvania is the pivotal state, and Joe is ahead at this point. If he wins the states Hillary won in 2016, and adds Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Biden is in like Flynn. If he adds Arizona, North Carolina, or Georgia, even better.

On the other hand, Cheez Whiz has to win every battleground state. If he loses PA, he's probably done for. If Joe edges him in Florida, Cheezy's fucked. So many ways to lose.

Three of the worst goddamned days of my life happened in 2016; one of them was election day in November. I was almost 100 percent certain that a fucking dipshit like Cheez Whiz could never win an election in the United States. Oh sure, he'd prosper in red state shitholes like Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Idaho. But the states Obama carried in 2008 and 2012? Forget about it.

By midnight I felt like I'd been kicked in the stomach and left for dead after I got phone calls from friends and family telling me what they were showing on TV. I'll never forget that night. And that's why I completely understand why so many Democrats are on edge, worrying and wondering what will go wrong this time. What vicious, cruel trick is gonna give Cheezy four more years to finish the demolition job Putin put him in the White House to carry out?

For what it's worth, there are a few calming influences available today. Like this one

Right-wing domestic terrorists are out in force in Texas, and naturally Cheez Whiz is egging them on. We need a good cleansing.

Q. Notes, Day 160

After reading glowing reviews that followed nights one and two of the Democratic National Convention last week, I made an effort to watch the third night as it aired. I was so impressed by the third night that the fourth (and final) night was must-see TV at my house. As someone who was extremely skeptical about the feasibility of a virtual political convention, I will happily admit that I underestimated the skill of people who use technology to produce hours of effective communication.

Next week, the (R) people will take their shot, and my guess is that what they dump out will basically amount to hour after hour of hero worship, and will be unwatchable for viewers with the capacity for intelligent thought. Until fairly recently, Cheezy was expecting a traditional convention with an arena full of morons screaming for him.

Late addition 11:28 PM: I just read that Cheezy will make speeches all four nights of the RNC, instead of the single traditional final night address. When there's a TV camera around, he has to be in front of it. Cheezy needs the extra time to explain to Americans that he's done everything perfectly, especially leading the nation against COVID-19. Just in case there are a few people who missed it, you understand.

Q-Notes, Day 150

One of the few suspenseful moments of Joe Biden's campaign came and went this week, when the selection of Kamala Harris as his running mate was announced. The media analysis is now picking up speed, and here's an important point that's being mentioned. When he picked Kamala, Biden proved that getting things done is more important to him than settling a grudge. Joe blew off the kind of stinger that would have had Cheezy seething mad until the day he died. More evidence that Joe can deliver the change we need now.

One of the numerous things Vladimir Putin and Cheezy have in common, besides destroying the United States as a world power, is the belief that saying something makes it true. That works for Vladimir in Russia, but in this country, Cheezy's out of luck. When he says anything, all of the intelligent people immediately assume he's lying again, and he almost always is. Anyway, Vladimir is saying that Russia has developed a vaccine to treat COVID-19, and nobody in Russia is arguing the point. Over here, we're still dreaming about the day when science will protect us.

Some Russian election-interference/propaganda cell produces a bogus video of Portland liberals burning Bibles, and Rafael (Ted) Cruz is all over it like stink on shit.

In the wide world of sports, the Pac-12 joined the Big Ten in cancelling its football schedule for the fall semester (maybe postponed until spring). Meanwhile, the SEC and Big 12, both dominated by schools in Cheezy's red states, appear prepared to play this fall, even if they modify their schedules to fewer games, all within the conference. Given the experience of the past few months, especially in Georgia, Florida and Texas, this looks like a potential disaster headed our way.

Deep down inside, Cheezy would love to be doing seven pep rallies per week, but he's refusing to do them because of social distancing requirements. He doesn't want TV audiences to see four or five empty seats for every one that has a goober's ass parked in it. With Cheezy, the only thing that matters is how things play on TV.

Two Old White Males

From Daily Kos

Liz Warren is apparently calling it quits. The race for the (D) nomination is now scaled down to Death Wish B1 against Death Wish B2. No options left except keep fingers crossed that Scump does something to make winning the EC mathematically impossible for him.

Friday, February 21, 2020

Here we go. Again.

The goddamned Rooskis are helping Donnie Carcinoma and Bernie (not a Democrat) Sanders, which tends to confirm several things I already suspected about both of them.

Bloomberg

The more I read about Michael Bloomberg's brutal TV ad campaign against Donny Scump, the happier I am that he's actively campaigning. Maybe some of this will rub off on Death Wish 1A and 1B.

PS: Always judge the Scump based on his first tweet or first statement, and ignore the deletions and walk-back attempts. Goddamned asshole.

Added 12:50 AM Tuesday: Vanity Fair says Bloomberg's ads making fun of the lardass are pissing Jumbo Dumbo off.

Delusional (D) thinking

It amazes me that so many (D) voters have convinced themselves that of all the candidates who began the race, the one who terrifies Donny Scump most is... Bernie (not even a Democrat) Sanders.

They believe Scump wanders around the White House at night, unable to sleep because he obsesses about being forced to face indestructible Bernie in November.

If we end up trying to survive four more years of sleazy sociopath Scump, it's a safe bet that Bernie will be one of the top three factors contributing to that national disaster, either because he was the (D) nominee, or because of the chaos he caused when he wasn't.

The best of a bad lot?

The last ones standing will participate in the (D) debate tonight, the final one before actual primary voting begins. For me, Sen. Amy Klobuchar looks like the most viable remaining prospect in the group. When this dog-and-pony show started, there were a few possibles that had me slightly enthusiastic, but none of them could ever get off the dime.

The bigger picture

Wouldn't it be funny if Vladimir Putin had a grand scheme to make Russia the dominant world power, and Donny Stink Eye was a big part of it?

No, it wouldn't be funny.

Charles B. Pierce @ ESQUIRE explains why "Change and die" may be replaced by "Change or die" if the (D)'s are serious about beating Donny Stink Eye next year.

His Dilemma

Something to think about: Donny No Puede has devoted his so-called precedence (sic) to the hardcore GOP base, and so far, their devotion to him has kept him above water by making Republicans in Congress afraid to hold him responsible for any goddamn thing he says or does.

So No Puede is all set with the hardcore base, but it's starting to dawn on him that there aren't enough hardcore Donny voters to reelect him next year. Now he's trying some half-assed outreach approach to attract fresh support. Can he separate himself from the bottom feeders without demoralizing them?

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
