I'll probably never know for sure what percentage of the population that has not received the COVID vaccine as of August 1st is made up of ignorant yahoos and dipshits whose resistance is purely political (based on excessive exposure to right-wing media and devotion to former guy Cheez Doodle). Since so many of them are clustered in red states, I expect there are millions of them, and they probably vastly outnumber people who have some other excuse that is slightly reasonable.
Daily Kos reports that congressional (R)s are suddenly trying to promote the goal of getting those red state assholes vaccinated, and are trying to blame Democrats for causing the problem to begin with.
