Close the doors and lock 'em

Right-wingers in charge of shaping opinions are suggesting there may be a consolation prize waiting if Donny Guano loses the 2020 election: He'll still rule the (R) party because he has millions of dimwits and lowlifes following him on Twitter.

What Donny won't have, of course, is absolute immunity from prosecution, veto power, and control of the Executive Branch of the federal government. That should count for something.

The best thing that could happen in 2020 is a clean sweep by the (D)s that gives them the White House and majorities in both the House and Senate. I've traditionally preferred divided government, but Moscow Mitch turned me against that concept all by himself. The second best thing would be the total elimination of social media access for Donny and every member of his rotten family, starting with a permanent Twitter lockout within 12 hours after his election defeat is announced.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
