Ricky rakes it in
A few weeks ago we were presented with the spectacle of the Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich, being punished after getting caught with both hands and at least one foot in the cookie jar. At the time, I checked out Rod's hairdo and noticed its similarity to the one displayed by Ricky Perry, our homegrown cookie snatcher. Based on a story in today's Chronicle , it seems like expensive haircuts are not the only thing Rod and Ricardo have in common.

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
