I came across a variation of an old joke and thought it was appropriate for the ongoing discussion.
Spaylin is what's known in Texas as a post turtle. Imagine driving down a country road and spotting a turtle balanced on top of a fence post. First, you know that turtle didn't get up there by herself. She doesn't belong there and has no idea what to do while she's there. And it makes you wonder what kind of stupid sumbitch put her up there to begin with.
And that's my reconstruction of the post turtle joke.
