Q NOTES, DAY 236: Creeping Counting Continuation

Within fifteen minutes of rolling out of bed, I had my laptop booted up and was checking my most trusted online sources for news about what, if anything, had happened overnight. When I went to sleep last night, Joe was still behind in PA and GA, but was systematically narrowing the margin with mail-in ballots from blue areas in both states.

The good news was that Joe had pulled ahead in both states, and based on demographics, was expected to increase his lead in both states. More good news: Joe was still leading in both Arizona and Nevada, and could probably manage at least a 50/50 split in the remaining uncounted ballots.

So, things look more favorable now, but none of those four states will apparently be called until the number of uncounted votes is smaller than Joe's lead.

Positive signs: Cheez Whiz is apparently making noise about refusing to concede defeat, and boycotting Joe's inauguration. Those are not the words of someone who expects a win.

Among many reasons I don't watch cable news channels in the daytime is the glut of chatter like this: It's said that some of the TV talking heads are already speculating that Cheez Whiz will be the (R) nominee in 2024. It's unclear how he'll be more acceptable to most voters at age 78 than he is at 74.

Update 6:32 PM: Still waiting for someone to declare a victory in one of the four states in which Joe is ahead. Meanwhile, the (R) people are urging Cheez Whiz to make a more compelling legal case to the courts. Stopping the counting of votes now would give Joe big wins in AZ, GA, NV and PA. The only argument Cheezy can make is that any vote for Joe is an illegal, fraudulent vote, because that's what he believes.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
