Q NOTES # 465: Short Cuts 2

Show me people who fear their children will be indoctrinated in liberal ideology if they attend a university, and I'll show you people who shouldn't be having kids in the first place..

RepubliQans are always blabbing about a lack of confidence in our elections. This is total bullshit; the actual 'problem' is that most (R) voters are so damned dumb, they'll believe everything Cheez Doodle tells them. If normal intelligence and sanity were voting requirements, no republiQAn would ever win another election.

It must bewilder some members of the White House press corps that what Cheez Doodle is saying, doing, or planning to do will never influence the decisions being made in the White House now. Apparently there are reporters who can't accept the idea of Fat Donny being inconsequential to most of the world.

Madame Vice President makes most important point of the day: If Senate republiQAns believed most American voters would agree with their election protection legislative agenda, they'd happily debate it. But they know it stinks on ice.

While perusing DU today, I stumbled upon the feel-good news story of the week. It involves a straw poll taken among conservatives that apparently shows the worst governor east of Texas, Ron DeSantis, leading the former guy in a potential race for the 2024 republiQAn party nomination. Why this matters is that former guy's natural impulse is to destroy anyone in the vicinity who is thought to be a smidgen more popular than he is. Let's suppose that over the next year, several potential (R) contenders for 2024 emerge, and all of them are able to edge past former guy while he's trying to evade indictment, arrest and trial. I think the result wouldn't be pleasant for the (R) party, although it would amuse the rest of us.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
