Quarantine Notes, Day 42

Daily Kos has pieces that confirm my conclusion that the COVID-19 crisis is bringing out the best in the good people. and bringing out the worst in the bad ones.

Here's what Mike Huckleberry said about things during one of his interviews on Fox News:
HUCKABEE: Look, I take this all seriously, I truly do. The virus is a real threat. We get it. But at the same time, it's a bigger threat to lose our way of life, our prosperity, our government, our constitutional freedoms, and rights. These are precious and America was made great because people took risk.
The biggest threat to our way of life, our prosperity, our government, our freedom and our rights is so-called precedent (sic) Donny Drano. End of story.

People like Laura Ingraham and Mike Hucklebuck, like most (R)s, would rather be dead than admit they were totally wrong about MF45.

Quarantine Notes, Day 37

DAILY KOS: The only outcome that matters to MF45 is that there's always an opening which makes it possible for him to pin blame on someone else.

Quarantine Notes, Day 29

We officially started easing into quarantine mode on Sunday 15 March, the day I discovered that toilet paper would no longer be readily available at any grocery store in easy driving distance. About ten days later, our county made it official. Like most people, this lifestyle isn't anything I imagined I'd be doing in my remaining years, but so far it hasn't been anything I can't cope with.

At DAILY KOS, the Massive Failures of MF-45 continue to be documented, and anybody who plans to vote for him based on his brilliant management skills should forfeit the right to vote. As KOS says, MF-45 is more interested in bragging about his many successes in front of TV cameras than in doing the work required to actually succeed at anything.

The (R) party is having a hard time winning elections that are rigged in its favor.

Quarantine Notes, Day 25

MF-45 is backed into a corner, and I expect the stink of flop sweat coming from him is overpowering for those in the same room with him. Recent polls show him trailing Biden in states he absolutely must carry to steal the EC again, and others show most voters believe his approach to COVID-19 containment has been too much losing, not enough winning. Then Bernie dropped out of the (D) race yesterday, a setback that MF-45 failed to anticipate.

When a mental case like MF-45 starts to panic, watch out. The fat bastard lies the way normal people breathe, so the safest move is to take everything he's saying now about miracle drugs, immediate economic recovery,  or reopening for business really soon, etc. as more of the same old bullshit aimed at keeping his devotees mesmerized. The people MF-45 listens to are those who only tell him what he wants to hear.

PS: Sending Booger Barr out to make the case for Blob is a non-starter.

Cutting off federal funding for COVID-19 testing? That means less testing, and less reliable reporting of deaths related to the virus. The Slab of Flab doesn't give a shit about beating COVID-19, just convincing fucking idiots that he did. Running scams is all he knows how to do.

Closing thoughts:
  • The Slab of Flab's daily "press briefings" are the fake news on TV, at least the parts when he's running his mouth.
  • More than likely, the governors in most of the states will be the ones who get us through the COVID-19 crisis if anyone does.
  • Slab of Flab wants to 'reopen' at the end of this month, but doesn't want to do a single one of the many things that will be necessary to make a somewhat safe 'reopening' possible.

Inconsequential

In terms of ability to exercise effective leadership in any situation, MF-45 has the substance of a hummingbird fart in a hurricane (category 5).

Those of us who aren't flaming assholes knew MF-45 would wreck the country. We just didn't know exactly how he'd do it.

Reality Check

Let's face it... throughout the first 40 months of his bullshit, has the Blob ever shown a hint of a sign that he has the ability to handle a situation like this one?

When people who hate government are running the government, you're never gonna have any government when you really need some.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
