Piling on

This morning, there's a wealth of editorial commentary on the health care reform debacle and its implications for Obama and the next two elections. One of the better analyses comes from former Bush strategist Matthew Dowd in the Washington Post. It feels like Twilight Zone time when I find myself in agreement with Republicans, but I can't shake the feeling that Dowd's right on the money.

My bro in Houston has been all over Harry Reid's ass lately for his failed leadership, and justifiably so. As Chris Weigant writes at Huffington Post, the blame belongs equally to Reid and Obama, who are wasting valuable time and the best opportunity Democrats have had in years to show America they can run the country effectively.

Summer walks in Texas

Judging by the amount of water on driveways and sidewalks and in the street, some Texans seem to think you can grow concrete and asphalt using lawn sprinklers.
